Catholics are fully aware that the death of Jesus Christ was on their behalf so that they can life with out sin, that his death was a gift to them. Those that refuse to live by the teaching of the church and Gods word (committing a mortal sin) shall not be saved. A good catholic must be willing to live their live by following Jesus Christ, for he is the Messiah, the chosen one, chosen by God himself.
I meet with Father Thomas after he delivered a powerful sermon to the packed church. Many Catholics do not do that. (Thomas, 2007)
