The defendant is guaranteed a fair trial and due process by the constitution of this country. The defense attorney also must have a jury that is fair and balanced for his client to receive a fair trial. As this paper unfolds we will analyze, and explain the steps in a jury trial with the goal of explaining this vital part of the criminal justice system.
